Hey folks, Joe Cross here. I wanted to take a moment to share one of those truly perfect summer days that remind me why I love what I do. This one took place in the heart of Littleton, Colorado — a charming town that feels like it was made for summer weddings.
I had the honor of capturing the beautiful celebration of Maureen and Patrick, two incredible people whose love radiated through every moment of the day. This is actually my most recent finished wedding gallery, and I couldn’t wait to share it.
There’s something so rewarding about seeing everything come together — from the anticipation of the morning to the final edit that tells the story in full. Every time I deliver a gallery, I’m reminded why I fell in love with wedding photography in the first place: the emotions, the energy, and the way a single day can hold a lifetime of meaning.

It was a July wedding — warm but not too hot, the kind of day where the sun seems to glow just right. Anyone who’s spent a summer in Colorado knows how breathtaking the scenery can be. The rolling foothills, the deep blue sky, and the golden light all came together to create an unforgettable backdrop for Maureen and Patrick’s story.
Their ceremony was held at the beautiful Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Littleton, a timeless spot filled with character and warmth. Inside, sunlight streamed through the stained-glass windows, casting soft colors over the guests as they watched two lives become one.
The sound of laughter and happy tears filled the space — one of those moments you can feel through the camera before you even press the shutter.

After the ceremony, we made our way to Hudson Gardens, one of my favorite wedding venues in Colorado. If you’ve never been, it’s a true photographer’s dream — lush green pathways, vibrant blooms, and soft open light that dances through the trees.
As the evening settled in, the gardens shifted into a moody, romantic overcast atmosphere — the kind of soft, diffused light photographers dream about. The clouds created a gentle, cinematic glow over the entire celebration, wrapping Maureen and Patrick in a quiet, intimate ambiance that made every moment feel even more emotional and timeless.
The atmosphere was full of joy — heartfelt toasts, plenty of laughter, and a packed dance floor that carried late into the night.

Maureen and Patrick were an absolute joy to photograph. There’s something special about couples who are both deeply in love and completely themselves — relaxed, present, and ready to soak in every moment.
From the first look to the last dance, their connection was undeniable. I captured a mix of candid moments and classic portraits in my signature monochrome style — each frame telling a piece of their story, full of emotion, elegance, and a touch of nostalgia.

Days like this wouldn’t be possible without a great team. A huge shoutout to my amazing assistant, Ella Gorraiz, whose energy and attention to detail helped everything flow seamlessly from start to finish.
And I can’t forget Maggie Mahr, the incredible wedding coordinator who made sure every detail was on point. Though she’s not on Instagram, she deserves endless appreciation for her impeccable organization and calm presence throughout the day.
Every beautiful wedding is a team effort, and this one was no exception. A big thank you to the talented vendors who made this day unforgettable:
Jewelry: Sarah O Jewelry
Dress: Brilliant Bridal
Catering: Rocky Mountain Catering
Music: Vermillion Code
Venue: Hudson Gardens
Hair & Makeup: Spectra Salon Suites
Cake: Pontobelo Bakery
Each vendor played a role in creating a day that reflected Maureen and Patrick’s vision — elegant, joyful, and deeply personal.
Maureen and Patrick, congratulations once again. It was an honor to document your day — the laughter, the tears, the quiet in-between moments, and the wild dance floor celebrations.
I hope every time you look through these photos, they bring you right back to that warm summer evening surrounded by the people who love you most.
This wedding marks my most recent completed gallery, and it was such a fulfilling one to finish. I’m already looking forward to the next love story I get to tell — but for now, I’m soaking in the beauty of this day and the reminder that photography isn’t just about pictures; it’s about preserving feelings, connection, and the moments that define us.
